Ingredients and Cooking Instructions For Broiled Steak
Ingredients:
- 1 pound of your preferred cut of steak (e.g., ribeye, sirloin, filet mignon)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1-2 tablespoons of oil or melted butter (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat the broiler to high heat and place the oven rack 6 inches from the heat source.
- Remove steak from the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature (30 minutes to an hour).
- Season both sides of the steak with salt and pepper.
- If using, brush both sides of the steak with oil or melted butter.
- Place the steak on a baking sheet or broiler pan and place it under the broiler.
- Broil for 3-4 minutes per side, or until it reaches your desired doneness (rare, medium rare, medium, well done).
- Once done, remove the steak from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes.
- Serve and enjoy!
