What you need to know about going solar.
Can I afford to go solar?
Absolutely! Financing options mean that investing in solar is achievable for every homeowner. With soaring energy costs and current tax credits, there has never been a better time to invest in solar for your home. The better question might be whether you can afford not to go solar!
Should I buy my solar panel system?
Ultimately it’s up to you and what works best for your budget and lifestyle. Many customers choose to purchase their system in order to maximize their financial return – and financing is an easy way to minimize the upfront investment. Other customers see a Power Purchasing Agreement (PPA) as an easy, maintenance-free way to reduce their energy bills and help the environment.
Will my solar panels be covered by my homeowners insurance?
Almost all insurance policies can be easily customized to include solar panel coverage. We recommend reaching out to to your insurance agent for more details.

What happens if I want to sell my house?
If you have an active solar loan or PPA agreement, your lender can help you transfer the balance of the agreement to the new homeowner. Alternately, some homeowners choose to adjust the asking price of the home to include the balance of the solar agreement. During the sale, they can then use the proceeds to pay off the remainder of the agreement. Here’s some more good news; real estate data shows that homes with solar generally sell faster and for higher prices!
Will I still have a power bill?
In some areas, utility bills include minimum fees and surcharges separate from energy consumption. If you live in one of those areas, you’ll still receive an energy bill with those minimum fees, even if your panels produce 100% of the energy you consume.
