This plant-based cherry crumble is super simple thanks to our Organic Cherry Pie Filling! Recipe below. πŸ’​

PLANT-BASED CHERRY CRUMBLE​

3 ⅓ cups Simple Truth Organic All-Purpose Flour​

2 tsp baking powder​

¼ tsp salt​

¾ cup Simple Truth Organic Cane Sugar​

2 tsp Simple Truth Organic Vanilla Extract​

8 oz vegan butter, cold & diced​

2 cans Simple Truth Organic Cherry Pie Filling​


Topping​

¼ cup Simple Truth Organic Brown Sugar​

¼ cup Simple Truth Sliced Almonds​


Preheat oven to 350ΒΊ. Grease a 10" springform pan and line the bottom with parchment. Wrap outside of pan tightly with foil. To make the dough, whisk the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar together in a large bowl. Add the cold vegan butter cubes and vanilla extract and use a pastry blender and/or your hands to work mixture into a crumbly dough. Press about 2/3 of the dough evenly into the bottom and up the edges of the prepared pan, forming a rim. ​


Prick the bottom of the crust a few times with a fork and fill with the cherry pie filling. Top with remaining crumble dough, then sprinkle with brown sugar and almonds.  Bake for 45-50 minutes until lightly browned. Serve warm or cool completely for a firmer consistency. Enjoy!
