BBQ Beef Skewers Ingredients and Cooking Instructions

 


Ingredients:

  • 1 pound beef sirloin or flank steak, cut into 1-inch chunks
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce of your choice
  • 1 large red onion, cut into wedges
  • 2 bell peppers, cut into chunks
  • 1 large zucchini, cut into rounds
  • 1/4 cup olive oil (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 8-10 wooden skewers (soaked in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning)

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the BBQ sauce, olive oil (if using), salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the beef chunks to the bowl and turn to coat.
  3. Cover the bowl and marinate the beef in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours.
  4. Heat a grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Thread the beef chunks, red onion, bell peppers, and zucchini onto the skewers, alternating the ingredients.
  6. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 8-10 minutes, turning every 2-3 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the beef reaches 145°F.
  7. Brush the skewers with additional BBQ sauce during the last 5 minutes of cooking, if desired.
  8. Serve hot.
