BBQ Pulled Pork Ingredients and Cooking Instructions

 


Ingredients:

  • 1 (4-7 pound) pork shoulder
  • 1/2 cup dry rub (such as brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and chili powder)
  • 1 cup chicken broth or water
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce of your choice
  • 6-8 brioche buns

Instructions:

  1. Trim any excess fat from the pork shoulder and season both sides with the dry rub.
  2. Place the pork shoulder in a slow cooker and add the chicken broth or water.
  3. Cook on low for 8-10 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
  4. Drain the cooking liquid and shred the pork using two forks.
  5. Stir in the BBQ sauce and continue cooking on low for another 30 minutes.
  6. Toast the brioche buns and serve the pulled pork on top.
