Ingredients:
- Steak (e.g. ribeye, sirloin, or filet)
- Salt
- Pepper
- Butter or oil (optional)
- Herbs or spices (optional)
Instructions:
- Season steak with salt, pepper, and any additional herbs or spices you desire.
- Place steak in a vacuum-sealed bag or a zip-top bag with as much air removed as possible.
- Set sous-vide machine to desired temperature (e.g. 130°F for medium-rare).
- Place bag in the water bath and let cook for 1-4 hours, depending on desired doneness.
- Remove steak from the bag and pat dry with paper towels.
- Sear in a hot pan with butter or oil (optional) for 1-2 minutes on each side to add a crust.
- Rest steak for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
