Spicy Blackened Steak & Shrimp Alfredo 🥩🍤🍝
Ingredients:
For the steak and shrimp:
- 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the Alfredo sauce:
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the pasta:
- 12 oz penne or fettuccine pasta
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Directions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
2. In a bowl, season steak and shrimp with Cajun seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper.
3. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak pieces for 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove and set aside.
4. Add another tablespoon of olive oil to the skillet and cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
5. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
6. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Add Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes, stirring until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens (about 2-3 minutes). Season with salt and pepper to taste.
7. Toss the cooked pasta in the Alfredo sauce until evenly coated.
8. Plate the pasta and top with the steak and shrimp. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
