Seared Scallops in a creamy, spicy Cajun sauce—dinner in just 20 minutes! 😍🦪🔥
Ingredients:
- 1 lb large sea scallops, patted dry
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp butter (for the Cajun cream sauce)
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp lemon juice
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- Chopped parsley (for garnish)
Directions:
1. Start by patting the scallops dry and seasoning them with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
2. In a hot pan, heat the olive oil and butter. Sear the scallops for 1.5 to 2 minutes on each side until they’re beautifully golden and crusty. Once done, remove them from the pan and set aside.
3. In the same pan, add a tablespoon of butter and sauté the minced garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Then pour in the heavy cream, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, lemon juice, and grated parmesan. Let it simmer until it thickens slightly.
4. Finally, pour that delectable sauce over the scallops, garnish with chopped parsley, and maybe add a lime wedge on the side. Enjoy your flavorful creation!
